About us
We are a part of the Swedish foundation Internationella Skolorna and since 2005 we offer language courses, mainly in Swedish and Spanish as well as workshops in photography and art.
Our school is located in the ancient historical center of Barcelona, a couple of minutes walk from the Catalunya square and 15 minutes from the beach. The courses take place in spacious rooms with air conditioning. Wi-Fi, expending machines and coffee are provided in an international atmosphere with plenty of chances to practice the language you are learning and of course our lovely terrace with a view of the cathedral are a couple of small extras that you will only get with us and that makes your stay so much nicer.
About our intense Spanish courses
Regardless if you are a beginner that wants to get a start with the language or an advanced student that aims to speak and write a perfect Spanish, the study pace is high on our intensive courses. We offer at least 4 hours of teaching daily, with a certain emphasis on oral communication but respecting each aspect of the language. All our teachers have university degrees in linguistics in addition to special training to teach Spanish for foreigners.
At the end of the course an examination is held and each participant will receive a certificate of attendance with the course description and attendance specified.

Beginners course (A1) 10/2 - 7/3
The course is designed for people who have never studied Spanish before but are ready to start intensely! We start at a basic level and work up in a steady pace. You have at least 4 hours of teaching daily 5 days a week, combined with group assignments and practical exercises on the street!
Beginners course (A2) 10/3 - 4/4
The course is designed for people who have done our A1 course or that have a similar background, around 80 hours of Spanish learning. You have at least 4 hours of teaching daily 5 days a week, combined with group assignments and practical exercises on the street!
Intermediate course (B1.1) 7/4 - 2/5
The course is made for people who have done our A1 and A2 course or that have a similar background, around 160 h of spanish learning. You have at least 4 h teaching daily 5 days a week, combined with group assignments and practical exercises on the street!
Intermediate course (B1.2) 5/5 - 30/5
The course is designed for people who have done our A1, A2 and B1.1 course or that have a similar background, around 240 hours of Spanish learning. You have at least 4 hours of teaching daily 5 days a week, combined with group assignments and practical exercises on the street!
Life in Barcelona
As soon as we get your request we will send you information about the city, housing and the school.
For example, it is usual to rent a room in a shared apartment through a private owner. We will give you all the information you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible! A normal rent can be around 300-500 €/month, with a deposit that is usually a month rent, but that will be given back to you after your stay if the apartment is left in a good state.

IMPORTANT! After your request is made, we will contact you with information concerning the payment of the course. We will confirm whether or not the course takes place the latest one (1) month before the course starting date. As specified before, the minimum number of students is 10 for the course to take place. For these reason, we recommend you not to buy your plane tickets before the confirmation. If the course is cancelled due to lack of students the whole registration fee is refunded.
